Enterprise Performance Management

One set of numbers, agreed before the meeting starts.

We design the measurement frameworks, management reporting and information packs that let leaders see how the organisation is performing, from a single, trusted source rather than competing versions.

What it is

Management information built around the questions leaders ask

Enterprise performance management brings together how the organisation measures itself, how it reports, and how that reporting connects to planning and budgeting. It covers the measurement framework, the management information pack, the calendar that produces it, and the single source of KPI data behind it.

We implement it on Corporater, or on the performance platform you already run. How we implement, integrate and support Corporater is set out on theCorporater solution page.

It is for CFOs, finance and performance teams, and executive committees who need a reliable monthly view of results against plan, and who spend too much of each month assembling it.

The problem

Too many reports, not enough answers

In most organisations, performance data arrives from finance, operations and each business unit in its own format and on its own timetable. The same KPI is calculated three ways, and the budget sits in a different model from the actuals it is compared with.

Management packs grow longer each year while answering fewer questions. Much of the month-end effort goes into reconciling figures, and the discussion that should follow never quite starts.

How we work

From the questions to the pack

  1. Start with the decisions

We interview the people who use management information to establish which decisions it must support and which questions it must answer each month.

  2. Design the measurement framework

Financial and operational measures are defined once, with agreed formulas, sources, owners and tolerances, and arranged in a clear hierarchy.

  3. Connect planning and actuals

Targets, budgets and forecasts are aligned to the same structure as reported actuals, so variance analysis compares like with like.

  4. Build the single source

KPI data is consolidated in one governed repository on Corporater, or on the performance platform you already run, replacing parallel spreadsheets.

  5. Redesign the management pack

A shorter pack, led by exceptions and commentary, produced to a fixed calendar and read the same way by every audience.

What you end up with

What remains after we leave

  • A measurement framework with one definition for each KPI.
  • A single source of performance data that finance and the business both accept.
  • Plans, budgets and actuals reported on the same structure.
  • A management information pack that is shorter and answers more.
  • A reporting calendar that frees time for analysis rather than assembly.
